FAQs — Healing Haven Therapy, PLLC.
-
Yes! Healing Haven Therapy PLLC accepts a variety of insurance plans. Coverage can vary depending on your specific plan, so it’s helpful to contact your insurance provider to confirm your benefits for mental health services. I’m also happy to help you verify coverage and explain any out-of-pocket costs before your first session, so you feel confident and prepared.
-
I am licensed in Michigan and provide in-person and virtual sessions. All virtual sessions are via secure, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy. Due to state regulations, I can only see clients who are physically located in Michigan at the time of their session.
-
All new clients begin with a free 15-minute consult call to ensure goodness of fit. During this call, we’ll discuss your needs, and you can ask any questions to make sure working together feels like a good fit.
-
Your first session is a chance to share the parts of your story you are comfortable sharing, and for me to learn about your goals and current challenges. Together, we’ll decide on the best approach for ongoing support.
-
Individual sessions are typically 50–60 minutes. Session length can be modified as needed to accommodate your schedule and goals.
-
It’s completely normal to feel uncertain about starting therapy. The consult call is a no-pressure way to explore your options and see if therapy might be helpful for you.
-
Yes. In accordance with the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or who choose to pay privately are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of services. If you will be paying out of pocket, you will receive this estimate before your first scheduled session, once we decide to move forward after the introductory call.
-
Yes. Your privacy is very important to me. Therapy sessions are confidential except in rare circumstances required by law, such as safety concerns.
You don’t have to carry it all alone.
If you’re feeling lost, low, or just ready to talk — therapy can help. I’m here to walk alongside you.
